His Love Makes Us Want To Do Right

"2 Peter 1:9 Our faith must go beyond what we believe; it just become a dynamic part of all we do, resulting in good fruit and spiritual maturity. Salvation does not depend on good deeds, but it results in good deeds. A person who claims to be saved would remaining unchanged does not understand faith or what God has done for them.

2 Peter 1:10 Peter wanted to rouse the complacent believers who had listened to false teachers and believed that because salvation is not based on good deeds they could live any way they wanted. If you truly belong to the Lord, Peter, wrote your hard work will prove it. If you're not working to develop the qualities listed in (2 Peter 1:5-7), you may not belong to Him. If you are the Lord's and your hard work backs up your claim to be chosen by God-you will be able to resist the lure of false teaching or glamorous sin.

What does your life say about your faith?
- Life Application Study Bible

(Romans 6)
Yes, Jesus died for our sins and we won't be judged by that. But, because Jesus laid down His life for us, His love should make you want to do right... We serve God, not by obeying a set of rules, but out of renewed hearts and minds that overflow with love for Him.

Why live right?
It's ungrateful, selfish, and blatantly disrespectful to continue doing things our way after all God did for us. Sin equals death & habitually living in sin, will lead you to death quicker than expected... God forgives our sins but He doesn't always take away the consequences.

There's only ONE way for salvation and that's faith in God's Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:6). But, there's a whole new life transformation that comes with believing... To be a follower of Christ, we must change and strive to be like Him. What's faith without action? DEAD! And wheres there no life, there's no presence of God. To be a Christian we must bear good fruit. Galatians 5:22-23
