Glorifying God

GLORIFYING GOD

1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV)

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

What do you think Paul was trying to say in this passage? How do you think Paul’s message would manifest in today’s society? Are there areas in your personal life to which this applies?

The Bible states in 1 Corinthians 10:31 (New International Version), “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” I think that Paul was telling believers that we should always worship God. No matter what we do, we ought to honor God by living in the way that pleases Him. This is a verse that always dwells on my mind. I consider it a privilege to be able to live for God. And, I also think that it’s special that Christians can live in a state of constant worship.

In John Gill’s Exposition of the Bible, he wrote that “God’s glory is the end of all his works and actions” (Gill, n.d.). God should get all of the glory because we were created for His glory (Isaiah 43:7). We belong to God. We were created for His purpose and for His pleasure. We weren’t meant to live without Him in any way. We were brought at a high price; even our bodies belong to God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). I think that it’s important that we realize that the Holy Spirit lives in us. Christians must realize that our bodies are our temples. God lives in us! We must bear good fruit by allowing the Holy Spirit to guide every aspect of our lives.

Self-control is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. The Bible states in 1 Corinthians 10:23 (New International Version), “I have the right to do anything you say—but not everything is beneficial. I have the right to do anything—but not everything is constructive.” The Bible also talks about gluttony being sinful in diverse scriptures. We are free in Christ to live for His glory not to live foolishly. By grace we’ve been saved. The only right response to grace, is to fear the Lord in reverence all day and every day. This is simply done by choosing to put Him first in everything.

Particularly, we should have a have a healthy lifestyle. We shouldn’t eat things that are harmful to our bodies nor should we consume more than what we need. I think that we should strive to live healthy by considering the Lord’s opinion on our food choices. I also think that we should make exercise a priority because it’s good for our body and mind. In 3 John 1:2 (New Living Translation), the Bible states “…I hope all is well with you and that you are healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.” We have to be healthy so that we can actively serve the Kingdom of God. Jesus’ body was broken so that ours can be made whole. We shouldn’t ignore the suffering of our Lord’s body.

In today’s society, Paul’s message may not be manifested in everyone’s lives, but it has been accepted into the lives of many Christians, including mine. I am health conscious. This month, my family has completed a one-year journey of veganism. Although we have ended our journey, we have learned so much about the role that food plays in the body. We still eat very clean and exercise often. Spiritually, we know that God keeps us whole. We just do our part by acting on faith by doing what we can in the physical. I believe that Paul’s message would ultimately manifest today if the media would promote healthy living and if the gov’t made healthy foods more affordable. All things are possible with God!

Did God Really Say That?

I desire for people to get to know God in His Word so that they can truly experience eternal life (a relationship with Him). I believe that Christianity is meant to be personal. If one wants to grow spiritually then, they have to be able to connect with God in an intimate way. Christians can't allow the thoughts and beliefs of others to convict them of the truth. Christians must allow the Holy Spirit to lead them into all truth and understanding as they journey through the Bible and apply it to their lives.

With that being said, I'd like to use a couple of Bible verses for example. The other night I was reading Luke 6 out of the NKJV. In this version, verses 27-36 are in a section titled "Love Your Enemies." Verse 35 says: "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil." As stated above, this verse is about loving our enemies. So why is there a popular believe among Christians that we are to give to GOD expecting to receive NOT?

In the same chapter in verse 38-42 the section is marked off as "Do Not Judge." In verse 37 it says: "Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."

Clearly, God gives back to those that are generous. It's a promise and a spiritual principle.

Because this belief that Christians aren't supposed to expect God to bless them financially is so widespread, many look at wealthy Christians as if they're "false prophets." And that's a shame because false prophets CAN'T be Christians because they simply don't believe that Jesus is Lord. It has nothing to do with having money... Loving money is another issue.

So did God really say that Christians are to give and not receive when we give to Him? No. Jesus was speaking about loving your enemies.

Take Job for example. His story saddens us and teaches us to be faithful to God to the end. But, if not studied carefully, it can teach us that God is sometimes unfaithful to us.

Have you ever heard these verses thrown around as the answer to all of our problems?

"Though He slay me, yet will I trust him..." Job 13:15 or
"...The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord." Job 1:21

Some believers use these verses to explain why they're facing problems in their lives. But, this is not the truth. God will never contradict His Word. He is loving, faithful, kind, and good! He will never ever harm us.

We have to see the errors in our ways and to realize that Satan is the real enemy. God is not the author of confusion.

So, did God really say those things in those verses from Job? No. Yes, those verses are in the Bible. But no, they aren't words from God. Job said those words out of agony and ignorance of the truth. We can read in the first chapter the conversation that Satan had with God. Job lived a little while after Adam and Eve. We live in a different time and covenant than he. Praise the Lord!

---

I guess the point I'm trying to get across is that believers need to rightfully divide the word of God before applying it to our lives and teaching it to others. It's so sad when we blame God for things that He simply didn't do. We have to own up to our wrongs and rebuke Satan when he deceives us. God is too good to ever even think about harming His loved ones. We do not serve a god like that...

We must be humble, repent when wrong, and follow God and not people. We can't be gullible and be tossed around by preachers, authors, and others who carry a Bible and quote random scriptures. We must know the Bible so that we can know if we're hearing God's truth. It doesn't matter if people are talking about the Bible. GET TO KNOW GOD YOURSELF! People lie, but God doesn't. People have preunderstanding, sin, wrong thinking, and error. Thankfully, God gave us the Holy Spirit so that He can remind us the truth.

Friends, it's an incredible thing to know the truth.  Wisdom and knowledge are my two prized possessions. I thank the Lord daily for all the information that He's given me. I believe right so I live right! I'm far from perfect and there's areas where I don't believe right. But as for the Bible, I am free and not bound by sin and tossed around by what others say.

My life has gotten 100x better now that I have my own relationship with God.

Q: Don't you want to know God for yourself and not just play religion and follow man?

---

I'm currently taking a Biblical Studies course with classmates that seem to believe the typical lies that the devil throws at Christians. I am so very grateful that God gave me wisdom, spiritual discernment, knowledge and the understanding to apply His Word. I am deeply compelled to show others the truth so that they can freely receive the love that God desires to give them. Because if people see Him as a bipolar evil tyranny or dictator, then they won't ever get to know Him and live a transformed life.

I hope that this helps someone and encourages people to seek the truth for themselves. That's all I want. It's God desire for my life. Know that God REALLY does love you and has no plan to harm you! :)

Spiritual Growth

We have the Holy Spirit and the Bible. If we read the Word and allow the Spirit to guide us as we apply it, then we’ll walk according to God’s plan (be sanctified). Not saying it’s easy, just saying how it’s totally possible if we let God lead us.

I'm set in believing that spiritual growth ultimately comes from the Word. If we truly want to get closer to God, we have to read and be convicted of His Word. I didn't grow up reading the Bible. At 17, I got saved. A few years later, I started to read the whole Bible for the first time ever. I had no biblical foundation. I was raised in an unhealthy environment. I believe that God drew me to the Bible. It's a miracle that I'm even taking this course. I was SO far from God. I had no interest with the Word. But now my entire life is governed by it and it (Jesus) alone. I am now only 25 years old.

Sure people can help us. But we all need to make it our business to personally get to know God (read and apply the Bible). We can't depend on people's opinions and inventions.

I think that people stop growing spiritually when they don't want to personally commit to the Lord. Until Jesus comes back or death, we must be growing spiritually. God never stops talking or giving wisdom to those who ask. We can't be lazy or dependent on others. We ought to keep our fire burning for God by choosing to read the Bible, pray, and apply the Bible everyday so that we may be mature in the Lord. God is not the one to blame for spiritually immaturity or stagnancy.

People should be able to hear God calling them to grow and that the purpose is within the Bible. Jesus gave us eternal life. In John 17:3, eternal life means to know God. Our lives ought to be centered around knowing God. We automatically grow spiritually when we get to know God. It's not something we can do on our own or be taught. God draws Himself to us (and works in us (Philippians 1:6). The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth and understanding. We don't need imperfect man teaching us (1 John 2:27). For instance, an instructor may teach a Christian course. However, h/she can't teach people to grow spiritually. Each day plays a part of spiritual growth. We have to experience God on our own. We can't expect people to always be there for us with every spiritual need. God wants to be that One to depend on. People don't grow spiritually when they allow others to tell them everything they need to do. Life itself teaches us how we should depend on God.

I don't want to start a debate. This is just the way that I believe now that my mind is renewed to the Word of God. People often seek me for help with their spiritual growth. I always feel uneasy because I think that they should be seeking God. When I tell them to read the Bible, they think that I'm joking around or they feel bummed because they don't have the willpower or wisdom for Bible study.

If you don't understand the Bible, ask God. If you don't have interest in the Bible, ask God for the desire. If you're completely uninterested in the Bible, then you won't ever grow spiritually. That's my only solution. For me, the only thing that caused me to grow was the the Holy's Spirit's guidance concerning Biblical application. For those struggling to grow spiritually, consider repenting of sins, asking God for His desires, and a heart for His Word.

Love God Because He Loves You

God has been pouring revelation into my spirit as I study for my B.A. in Biblical Studies, and, it’s been so edifying. He repeatedly gives me confirmation. I know that what I feel in my heart is from God.

I’m currently studying the Old Testament. It's important to read the entire Bible so that you may get a better understanding of Jesus Christ. He's hidden in the OT and revealed in the NT. The entire Bible is God's written love letter to us.

This week’s focus is on the book of Exodus.

“Exodus describes these two main events: Israel’s departure from Egypt (rescue) and Israel’s newly established alliance with God (relationship)” (Arnold & Beyer, 2015, p. 78).

“The 10 commandments and the other commands were a result of God’s grace and love for his people. He issued his laws to the nation after he had redeemed his people and established his bond of intimate relationship with him. The law served as a seal on that relationship. Throughout the Old Testament the law is a positive expression of God’s Will for his people. Laws are a part of life. Breaking them only hurts us and proves that God’s laws are just and true.”

“Obeying his law is the right response to God’s grace, not as a means of salvation but as the response to salvation” (Arnold & Beyer, 2015, pp. 86-87).

“God’s desire was for a “priestly kingdom and a holy nation” that he could indwell (Exodus 19:6 NRSV). The exodus from Egypt took place so that God could dwell in the midst of his people. The coming of God’s glorious presence into the newly constructed tabernacle forms the climax of the book of exodus” (40:34).

“Eventually the temple in Jerusalem would replace the tabernacle as the habitation of God’s glory. Likewise, Christ came to “tabernacle” among us (John 1:14; Heb. 8:1-9:15). Now the Holy Spirit dwells within the church and has therefore fulfilled the ultimate purpose for both tabernacle and temple.”

“Exodus is about the salvation and preparing of the Israelites for life in the promised land. The gift of God’s presence is a prefulfillment reality.”

“The Sinai covenant became the principal symbol of an enduring relationship with God. The exodus and Sinai events are thus as central for the Old Testament as the cross is for the New” (Arnold & Beyer, 2015, p. 88).

Having a relationship with God is so important to me. As a Christian, I need to be led daily by the Holy Spirit, hearing God’s Voice and acting on His Word. It’s not about works. By grace we’ve been saved (Ephesians 2:8). However, I believe that obedience to God is how the motives of our hearts are seen (Matthew 12:33; James 2:14-26). If we really love God, Jesus said, “keep his commandments (John 14:15).”

I’m not judging those Christians who don’t have a full understating of God’s grace. I used to be one of those lukewarm Christians that was plagued with God’s judgement and anger. I wasn’t sure if I was going to heaven or if God even loved me. I let people dictate the truth about Christianity and what I should believe.

Right believing results in right living. (Read my blog posts: “His Love Makes Us Want to Do Right," and "Biblical Life Application").

It wasn’t until I read the Bible for myself and sought the truth that I became lavished with God’s love.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 NIV

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8 NIV

“Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” Ephesians 1:5-7 NKJV

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV

I’m so thankful for Jesus. I’m incredibly grateful for having a Savior. I’m so happy that it was Jesus who died for me because He is LOVE! There’s no flaw in Him. He’s altogether lovely! He does no harm to me. And God is a good, good Father. He’s perfect in all of His ways. He’s just, loving and true. He’s king, tender and merciful. He’s all that He says that He is. He’s not a liar. He’s not upset with me. He doesn’t condemn me. He corrects me, but He never scorns me. He’s...indescribable! There’s no words to fully express the fullness of His goodness.

So I feel completely obligated to give my life away to Him. It’s a privilege to serve the Lord! I could be dead in my grave-in a burning hell. My soul could be lost. I could be depressed, confused, full of worry and fear. But, God...

So it’s my purpose to live for God. I LIVE TO WORSHIP HIM! #BibleJourney is my greatest desire. There’s nothing more satisfying then growing closer to God. There’s nothing else I rather do than to help people get to know God for themselves.

“Grow in the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Get to know him better. Give him glory both now and forever. Amen.” 2 Peter‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

My God... I am burning with passion to see God’s glory. I just can’t understand why anyone who would receive God’s grace would continue to live apart from Him. How in the world did the Israelites see the greatest miracle ever and still doubt and ultimately deny God? He rescued them from their enemies, opened up the sea for them, allowed them to see their enemies defeated and miraculously provided for them on their journey to their own land. Still, they wanted to live in sin and out of His presence. That’s not right. The right response for salvation, is to know and love God.

We were created by a loving God for His purposes. We were created to know Him by walking with Him on a daily basis. Being in His presence is not just a blessing, it is a necessity of everyday life. How amazingly blessed are Christians today to be recognized at God's Church?! The Israelites had to build places for God's presence to dwell. Today, our bodies are the Lord's temple and His Holy Spirit lives inside of us (Ezk. 36:27; John 14:26; 1 Cor. 3:16; 1 Cor. 6:19; 2 Cor. 6:16; Col. 1:27)! Jesus' death ushered in the Holy Spirit so that we can come boldly to God (Heb. 4:16). He's wiped away our sins so that we can be able to walk with God as Adam and Eve did before sin entered into the world (Rom. 5:11-12).

Exodus means "departure." Yahweh saved His people (the Israelites) when He provided a way of escape out of Egypt (a land of sin and bondage). Jesus departed when He died on the cross to rescue us from the consequences of sin-bondage and death. God commanded the Israelites to have a relationship with Him. Today, the same God is still wanting an intimate relationship with His people (the Church).

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 KJV

"Now this is enteral life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." John 17:3 NIV

Don't merely accept salvation as a means to escape eternal death in hell. Accept Jesus because He loves you and wants you to love Him back. Accept Jesus' love, and in return, let God's love penetrate your heart and soul so that you may walk in love through the Spirit. Renew your mind. Live a transformed life. Be converted. Come out of the world and live out the holiness that God has given you. Let your life glorify God. Be the hands and feet of Jesus. Be like Christ.

God gave the Israelites commandments to teach them how to love Him. Today, we look to the cross where Jesus hung to see how much God loves us. Friends, the right response is to love Him with your whole life. He laid down His life for you. Lay down yours and become like Him.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.” John 15:13 NIV

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV

“We love, because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 NASB

“Jesus replied, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.'” Matthew 22:37 NLT

“And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23 ESV

Joseph: A Picture of Jesus

As I was preparing to write one of my papers for my homework (B.A. Biblical Studies), I had to stop to share my revelation knowledge from reading about Joseph in the Bible. [No, I didn't push my homework to the side. I wrote down what god had told me to share later in case I were to forget].

Oh how I wish I could share all of my papers! But I refuse to do so for plagiarism risks... However, I must share this with you all because it’s strictly Bible and revelation to help grow your faith.

I was assigned to read Genesis 37-41 and to answer questions. I wasn't going to read it because I already know the book. But I decided to do so to refresh my memory. Remember when Joseph was thrown into prison with the other two prisoners (OT)? It reminded me of Jesus going to the cross (NT) with the other two prisoners. (One went to hell and the other asked Jesus for salvation). With Joseph, the butler prisoner was set free and restored to his position while the baker was executed. This part is deep but it came to my mind: the butler had a dream about wine (represents the blood or Jesus) and the baker had bread. Yeast (used to make bread rise) represents "sin." The baker and the foolish guy on the cross died in their sins while the other two received favor.

It is important to read the Old Testament because it’s a parallel of the New. Jesus Christ is concealed in the OT and revealed in the NT. Jesus is the Word! He’s everywhere in scripture! That’s why reading God’s Word brings life to us. "My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body." (Proverbs 4: 20-22, New American Standard Bible). His Word brings healing. "He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave" (Psalm 107:20, New International Version). It doesn’t matter what passage of scripture. The whole bible is revenant today. "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17, New Living Translation).

I love the Old Testament. My next course I will be taking is actually titled “Old Testament.” :)

I have love for the entire Word of God. I need the whole Bible to understand the gospel message and to grow in my faith. It doesn’t matter your denomination. Every Christian needs the Bible. The whole truth will only set you free, not the half truth!

God’s people in the OT, faced tremendous physical battles. When they chose to be faithful to God, trusting and acting on His Word, they were victorious. Today, we may not all face physical persecutions, but the spiritual battles are just as big. We need to be faithful, fearless and humble to every Word that God tells us.

I want to encourage you to go on a Bible Journey. It’s not too late to start. Read a few chapters a day, and you’ll be done in a year. Just keep a consistent pace and read something each day. Man can’t live on bread alone but on EVERY word of God (Matthew 4:4).

Praise Confuses the Enemy!

Dream: 2/20/18

I was driving my husband’s car to school, and after class I noticed that someone had shattered his backseat window.

Everyone in the school ended up in an auditorium and was listening to a guest speaker. It seemed as if there were thousands of students. The speaker ended up standing next to me and she kept on talking about schizophrenia. She was looking at me when she said it. I thought it was interesting that she was doing that because my mother is diagnosed with schizophrenia. I thought that perhaps God had given her foreknowledge about some aspects of my life.

As the students were released from the auditorium, there were hundreds of emo kids chained up together (holding hands seems like) that were blocking us from leaving. We were trapped on both sides, and the emo kids were ready for war. They kept calling us, “evil Christians.”

Suddenly, I opened my mouth and started singing, “I will exalt You, I will exalt You...” then everyone else joined in. The emo kids moved out of our way, and before our song was over, I received revelation knowledge to run.

So I told everyone to run. They all packed into cars and drove off. The emo kids ran after us to attack us but God sent fire to encompass and trap them where they stood so that they couldn’t escape.

I saw the guest speaker acting schizophrenic. She was acting crazy! The leaders of the emo kids were laughing at us because they thought our leader (guest speaker) was crazy. They were laughing and making a mockery out of Christianity. But the woman was actually distracting them while another woman went and rescued those who were hiding in fear. We had the last bunch of people get into boats and buses and drive off.

Moral of the story: Praise confuses the enemy!
The devil doesn’t understand spiritual things because he manifests his evil works in the physical. He doesn’t understand our praise.

When it appeared as if all hope was lost, he assumed we would be trembling in fear for what seemed like a defeat. But instead, we stood on the Word of God. We praised God because His Word is true. He gave us authority. I knew in my heart and spirit that God wouldn’t allow us to be defeated and destroyed. So I was led to lead everyone into worship.

Then suddenly, the chain of demonically influenced people was broken.

I thought about a CSI episode I watched years ago. The show had a big twist. One of the CSI guys actually got kidnapped. The team couldn’t find him. The kidnapper was recording the guy speak badly about his friends. They were offended and confused. But he was really doing mind control. The words he spoke actually were big intelligent terms with definitions that gave clues to his location. Therefore, the team was able to find him and rescue him.

This reminds me of the guest speaker acting like she was schizophrenic (mind control) to tell me to catch on to her rescue plan so that I could be used to help God’s people escape.

We have no need to fear because God’s Word says not to. Our God will do what He said. War is coming. But we don’t wage against flesh and blood. We are to fight this spiritual battle with the Word of God, prayer and praise. (Ephesians 6)

Scriptures that God gave me:

Peter confesses Jesus as the Christ
13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

Hebrews 11:30 says, “By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days.” (Full Story in Joshua 6–The Destruction of Jericho)

Prayer of Protection: Psalm 91

Psalms 1-5

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

God will never leave His people. Even if it seems like the last minute, God will rescue us.
Trust in the Lord. Do as His Word says!

I Give You All of Me

DREAM: FEB 11, 2018

In my dream, my family was living in a special home that seemed like a mission home or some other type of Christian housing. The owners or house authorities took care of children with problems or without parents. Maybe, there were refugees. I'm not sure.

Well, we ended up kicking us out. They rushed us out and mumbled things to others as we packed up our belongings. My children and I were doing laundry, but we had to take our wet clothes out of the washing machine because they wanted us to hurry up and leave.

Scene 2: A girl and her boyfriend (whom I know in real life), wanted relationship counseling. They seen how successful my marriage was. But once they seen what it took to become successful, they were unwilling to commit to the plan. So they got in their car and left by the time I was ready to give them advice.

Scene 3: My husband was in a room or gymnasium full of guys. He publicly apologized to them all for whatever reason. He openly confessed his wrongdoing. Afterwards, some of the older men were upset and talking about him amongst themselves. Despite the persecution he felt, I informed him that he did the right thing. It's better to tell the truth than to lie or cover it up. God requires that we confess our transgressions so that people will know the truth and that we can be set free from guilt and other consequences.

Scene 4: There was an End-Time scene where a woman was tied up and being set on fire. It didn't look like she could see or feel what was going on. But as I stood-by, I could see everything. So, I would warn her of the harmful things that the torturer was doing to her. Someone came to her rescue and caught the torturer.

Interpretation:

True religion is pure. "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you" James 1:27 NLT.

True religion is not about dressing up for church and eloquent speech. True religion is giving to those that are in need. We're blessed to be a blessing.

Christians ought to be busy stocking up eternal rewards in heaven and not temporal earthly pleasures. When we help those in need, we help Jesus! To our benefit, we will be credited for our Kingdom work on earth in heaven. There's a blessing in giving. But honestly, it's about showing love to those in need because it's a clear indication of God's heart living and penetrating through us. Real love is demonstrated in actions towards others. God did this through Jesus, when He gave Him up to die for us sinners and strangers.

Not everyone will do what it takes to walk with the Lord. Once they know the process, they step back and decide to stay the same. Not everyone is willing to leave their comfort zone. Too many people are worried about what others will say about them. They don't wan't to be judged. They don't want their plans to be replaced with God's. They don't want to forgive and confess their wrongs. They don't understand the discipline, persecution and true worship of those who are committed to following the Lord. Persecution comes with following God. But life without God, is the real torture. God will surely rescue us and show us His salvation. If God is for us, who can be agsint us? What can man or any demonic being doing to us? Who can truly separate us from the love of God? NO ONE!

If you do good works but don't know how to love people with the pure love of God, then your religion is in vain. If you don't forgive in your marriage and relationships, it will fail. If you don't stand by your spouse through thick and thin and forgive, it will fail. If you don't make the Bible the foundation of your faith, you won't be successful in this life nor will you have any heavenly rewards. (1 Corinthians 13)

I'm sure that many people think I'm weird and crazy. I can sense it because I'm spiritually sensitive. Some have even admitted being jealous, intimidated and uncomfortable around me. It's sad because they cast me out and think I'm some Jesus or Bible freak because I'm doing too much and going too hard. It's because they don't study, believe, stand and act on what the Bible says.

Many Christians today aren't that radical for Christ. We aren't going as hard as the early Church. Sadly, many false religions are going hard for what they believe and we aren't. If we were, we wouldn't even be here. We would be in heaven because the Gospel would've been preached to the entire world and the end would've already came…

I want to encourage you to become intimate with Jesus. Walk with your God daily. Do what His Word says by allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and empower you to act on God's Word. Fall in love with Jesus Christ. Come under the shadow of God's Wings. Get to know your heavenly Father. Come out of your comfort zone. Give your whole heart, soul and mind to Him. Don't withhold anything! Commit your whole entire life to God and He will give you real and great success! Hallelujah, Jesus loves you!

Do You Know Jesus?

God desires an intimate relationship with us. John 17:3 says, "eternal life is all about knowing Him. [emphasis mine]" It’s not about getting into heaven just to escape death. The Lord created us to have fellowship with Him. He doesn’t care about fake religion and hypocrisy. He wants us to live out our “Sunday’s” each day. The Lord wants us to daily walk with Him through His Word. Shouting in church on Sunday and cussing out someone in traffic or in the grocery store on Monday doesn’t glorify God. He doesn’t require that we be perfect, but He does require a loving and sincere relationship. When we walk with the Lord, we’ll begin to look like Him. But when we don’t follow Jesus according to His Word, we don’t accomplish anything for the Kingdom. God wants us to love but we can’t love with out knowing LOVE. GOD IS LOVE!

..So I've been wanting to write this post for awhile now, but I was indecisive because I wasn't confident. I wasn't sure if my thoughts were aligned with the truth if the Word. I was inspired to go ahead and write this post after completing Day 37 devotional from the "Bible In One Year" app (2018).

Here's a snapshot of the section that resonated on my heart (Click on images to enlarge*):

When I started to grow in God's Word, I began to realize how extreme God's love is for us. I also considered His attitude towards His people in the times of the OT. He's shown me so much mercy and grace through Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts me of my righteousness in Him. I can no longer continue this life the way I want and still label myself a Christian. There's more to this Christian life besides the afterlife… God wants our life on earth to be as it is in heaven. After all, He created us so that we would walk with Him.

I've been guilty of being a hypocrite. I was active in church performing all of my so-called good works. However, I didn't know two things about Jesus Christ. I didn't know Him personally. I only knew a little bit about Him. Therefore, my life bore bad fruit. Since I didn't actually know Jesus, I didn't know my purpose for being on this earth. Jesus gives us purpose. He is why we're here!

Now faith without works is dead. We don't work to earn salvation or God's blessings because that's called, "grace." However, our lives must bear good fruit by allowing the Holy Spirit to work within us. Jesus says that those that love Him, keep His commandments and bear good fruit.

I want to live a godly life because God sacrificed Jesus for me. He bankrupted Heaven's best for me. Jesus gave up His life so that I may have His—that's full of beauty, truth, abundance, grace, wisdom, hope, and glory! How can anyone that has a intimate relationship with the Lord not reflect a life of power and glory? It's impossible. Walking closely with God will cause anyone's face to shine bright. Take Moses for example when He came down Mt. Sinai!

On the other hand, it's impossible to live a successful Christian life without biblical application. It's impossible to know God and not know His Word. It's impossible to know anyone without having a solid relationship.

Desire to walk with the Lord, Your God. He didn't die just for you to escape a burning hell. He died to get to know YOU!

My message: Get to know the God that died for you. He wants to be your friend. He loves you so much and doesn't want your life to be robbed of the real Christian way of living. If the Lord doesn't know you, He will let you know when you meet Him for the first time on Judgement Day.

Through my ministry, I urge you to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Get to know Him! He's a wonderful friend. He's my everything!

An Angelic Encounter?

Dream - 2.8.2018

I was in a house with some family and for some reason we needed a miracle. This woman came to the door and I just knew she was an angel. I was so excited to see her and wanted her to stay. People were skeptical about her being an angel but I knew for sure that she was one. So I followed her as she was leaving. She got in her car as if she was going to drive away, but I knew she was going to disappear out of thin air. I was telling everyone to follow her with me but they stayed inside. She drove off and went around a corner then disappeared. I ran back in the house to go look into the sky out of a back window. I seen a big airplane pop out of nowhere and I was saying, “look, look that’s the angel!” Then feathers and palms fell out of the sky into the house all over me (John 1:32; 12:13). Then the angel popped back up and was smiling.

I believed she was my personal angel. I remember being in the pediatrician office and was worried about the medicine and needles harming my children. So I prayed for it not to harm my children. I ended up getting a shot myself in my hands. I had my hands raised as the doctor put a needle in my right hand. The angel touched my left hand and I couldn’t feel any pain. I remember being late because I had to walk or run to catch a bus but I had on raggedy shoes. The angel went to a stand and purchased me a pair of name-brand shoes by Christian Louboutin soft and pretty sandals, slippers or flip flops. She used something I had to exchange it for something better because we didn't have money.

When I woke up, I instantly realized that the angel was actually a manifestation of Jesus Christ. Her name was Glory or Gloria. She was always smiling. I was telling everyone how she made me happy and took away my anger and other bad stuff. The Bible says that we don’t worship angels (Revelation 19:10). Besides, the works she was doing in me and for me could only be Jesus Himself. I believed in Jesus and was aware of the supernatural even when people thought I was crazy. God cares about me, even the little things. He is with me and He loves me. He’s my provider, healer, guidance counselor, and friend. I walk with the Lord and His Holy Spirit dwells on the inside of me.

Though, I believed I encountered an angel, I strongly believe it was actually Jesus because my dreams must always be interpreted. What I see in the supernatural has a specific meaning. It's never what I think but what God thinks.

It's kind of funny because I've been desiring to see my guardian angel manifest in the natural. I see flashing and sparkling lights daily in my home. I feel as though I sense angelic presences. I've been talking to God about it and wanted to meet my angel. This dream tells me that I should desire more of Jesus instead. He is far more important. Only Jesus is to be worshipped. He should be our greatest interest and desire.
I also saw some old friends in the dream that I’m not friends with anymore. They seemed as if they changed for the better. But I don’t feel led to reconcile our friendships. I feel led to pray for their relationships with God.

At one point she said not to worry about End Time events that can stress me out. Just be happy and walk with God.

WOW! These visions and heavenly encounters in my dreams have been coming in more rapidly in this season than ever before (almost every night). Last week (2.1.18), I had a dream where I was eating on a paper towel. When I finished eating, the paper towel read, "you're blessed, gifted and anointed." It was a handwritten message from God in white ink. I had to hold it to the light to read it.

God is still speaking to His people. Lose the distractions and pay attention so that you may hear God's Voice clearly. He has good plans for your life!

From the Pit to the Palace

Psalm 105:17-22 NIV

“and he sent a man before them— Joseph, sold as a slave. They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons, till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the Lord proved him true. The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free. He made him master of his household, ruler over all he possessed, to instruct his princes as he pleased and teach his elders wisdom.”

Put God First this Year

Happy New Year & MLKJR Day 2018!

There's no better time than now to put God first in our lives. Don't go another year without God's Word in your life. Christian, there's no way to walk with your God without the Bible. The Bible says, that Jesus is the Word (John 1:1, 14). Therefore, we need to read and apply the Word every single day. After all, we have a spirit and it needs to be properly nourished (Matthew 4:4).

How do we put God first?
1) Pray,
2) Read/Apply the Bible,
3) Let His Word be your 1st option and,
4) Let God have the final say!

I'm writing this blog to express the urgency for God's people to become radical followers of Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter about opinions, religious beliefs or worldly trends. We've been called by God and set-apart. Abiding in God is the only way we'll ever be able to see God's glory manifest in our lives.

Exhortation:
I am deeply concerned with some Christians within the Body of Christ who dabble in witchcraft. We cannot conform to the patterns of this world. We must renew our minds to the Word of God!

It's NOT okay to check your daily horoscope and not pray or read your Bible. Matter of fact, it's NOT even okay to believe in horoscopes! It's a form of witchcraft. All throughout the Old Testament we're warned about the dangers of idolatry.

Exodus 20:1-6 (KJV): "And God spake all these words, saying, I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."

If God was angry back when the Israelites rebelled against His Word then what makes us believe that He will pay no attention to what we do today? We serve the same God. Sure, the blood of Jesus covers us but that's no excuse to blatantly hurt God's feelings. We have got to reverence the Lord enough to honor Him because He's so loving and kind.

Anything that we put before God automatically becomes an idol. But I'm specifically interceding for those that dabble in witchcraft unknowingly because they're deceived. No where in Scripture do we see God's people succeeding in life as a result of divination. Honestly, those things actually bring curses into your life because it gives access to the enemy (Deuteronomy 28). So no more comparing zodiac signs and boasting about them. Let's obey God and end the witchcraft in all forms— evil hand signs, new age movement cult, healing crystals, rocks, tarot cards, ouija boards, buddha decor, stars, planets, moons or anything else that goes against the Word of God. Instead, pick up your Bible this year and pray for guidance every day!

Guard your hearts. Don't do what everyone else is doing. Be more careful of how you prioritize and spend your time. It's a problem if you're spending much of your free time without God. You're not just what you can see. You have a spirit that starves when you neglect your time with God or do things that are spiritually harmful. It's so vital that we seek the Lord morning and evening and walk with Him in the day by meditating on His Word, praying, declaring and seeking guidance. The Lord truly cares about you. Jesus died and God sent the Holy Spirit to be with us here on earth to befriend us, comfort us and guide us. Therefore, we need to interact with Him everyday.

My book 'Bible Journey' is all about having a personal relationship with God. Please give it a read and review, and share with a loved one.

I've been reading my NIV Bible lately for personal Bible study and it's given me a new love for God's Word. It's lightweight and easy to read. I also read daily devotionals and sit at Jesus' feet praying each morning/night.

Download the Holy Bible app onto your smartphones or tablets. You'll find tons of daily Bible reading plans and translations that will be a great benefit to you.

There's a plan on the Holy Bible app by (YouVersion) that's titled 'Bible in One Year (2018).' It's beautifully written! There's also an app for the plan that's titled 'Bible in One Year.' Go ahead and download either one and enjoy!

I'm praying for you to forsake all idolatry and return to your first Love. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all of His righteousness then all (good/godly) things will be added unto YOU! I'm not perfect. There's many things that I have to forsake and work on. Oftentimes, I'll ask the Lord to reveal my heart to me so that I may repent and become cleaned of my filth. All I want is Him. I want my life to please God so that I may glorify Him and lead others to His Kingdom.

Consequently, I've found that obedience to His Word results in a blessed and successful life. The Bible works. Its the only truth. I desire for everyone in my territory of influence to walk with God this year!
