Standing in Agreement (Sermon Notes)

Hey loves!
I enjoyed today's sermon from Pastor Howard of New Beginnings Church, Orlando. Here's the link to the church website: http://nborlando.org

Scripture reading comes from 1 Corinthians 1: 10-31 from the (MSG) Message translation Bible. I am sharing my notes and revelation with you in hopes of inspiring you to revaluate your priorities and understand Grace.

Divisions in the Church

10: I have a serious concern to bring up with you, my friends, using the authority of Jesus, our Master. I’ll put it as urgently as I can: You must get along with each other. You must learn to be considerate of one another, cultivating a life in common. We Believers, must get along with each other. We must not debate with each other. We must stand in agreement. We must respect each other, correct each other in love and agree to disagree. (*If it doesn't line up with Scripture.) For example, you may not believe in the speaking of tongues. I once didn't believe in this gift of the Holy Spirit because I was blinded by religion. Once I developed a relationship with God through His Word, I began to renew my mind to His truth. I prayed and ask God to receive this supernatural gift and He gave it to me! I now pray in tongues daily and experience supernatural results. Just because you may think the outpouring of the Holy Spirit disappeared when The Church Age started, doesn't mean that your belief is biblical truth. I posses this gift because I trued in God's Word to provide my miracle. Catch my drift? I won't speak in tongues if in your presence if you feel offended (for now). But I will pray in tongues once you leave because I believe what God's Word said. We have to learn to stand in agreement with things that matter to the Body of Christ. We can agree to disagree with Insignificant things like clean eating and dress attire. But we must not do away with God's Word.
11-12: I bring this up because some from Chloe’s family brought a most disturbing report to my attention—that you’re fighting among yourselves! I’ll tell you exactly what I was told: You’re all picking sides, going around saying, “I’m on Paul’s side,” or “I’m for Apollos,” or “Peter is my man,” or “I’m in the Messiah group.” It doesn't matter your church affiliation. All that matters the most is that Jesus is Lord and Savior. Rather you be Methodist, Baptist, Pnetestocal or non-denominational (like me), just agree that Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY to Our Father! Amen?
13-16: I ask you, “Has the Messiah been chopped up in little pieces so we can each have a relic all our own? Was Paul crucified for you? Was a single one of you baptized in Paul’s name?” I was not involved with any of your baptisms—except for Crispus and Gaius—and on getting this report, I’m sure glad I wasn’t. At least no one can go around saying he was baptized in my name. (Come to think of it, I also baptized Stephanas’s family, but as far as I can recall, that’s it.) Paul baptized a few, but it was not out of His own power but God's. We don't serve Paul, but our Lord Jesus Christ!
17: God didn’t send me out to collect a following for myself, but to preach the Message of what he has done, collecting a following for him. And he didn’t send me to do it with a lot of fancy rhetoric of my own, lest the powerful action at the center—Christ on the Cross—be trivialized into mere words. Paul was a man used by God to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We disciples are purposely called to do the same.

The Wisdom of God
18-21: The Message that points to Christ on the Cross seems like sheer silliness to those hellbent on destruction, but for those on the way of salvation it makes perfect sense. This is the way God works, and most powerfully as it turns out. It’s written, I’ll turn conventional wisdom on its head, I’ll expose so-called experts as crackpots. So where can you find someone truly wise, truly educated, truly intelligent in this day and age? Hasn’t God exposed it all as pretentious nonsense? Since the world in all its fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered dumb—preaching, of all things!—to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation. The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we (who are saved) know it is the very power of God. God has made the wisdom of the world look foolish. The world will never know Him through human wisdom.
22-25: While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go in for philosophical wisdom, we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified. Jews treat this like an anti-miracle—and Greeks pass it off as absurd. But to us who are personally called by God himself—both Jews and Greeks—Christ is God’s ultimate miracle and wisdom all wrapped up in one. Human wisdom is so tinny, so impotent, next to the seeming absurdity of God. Human strength can’t begin to compete with God’s “weakness.” Some people think the Gospel is foolish because they lack faith. They expect to see signs and wonders. While others seek the world to find the truth. People of the world take Jesus as a joke because they are spiritually dead and therefore unreceptive to the things of the spiritual realm.
26-31: Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.” Before we were all saved, we were once lost and drowning in our habitual sins. We all must realize that we are justified and SAVED BY GRACE! Likewise, we must show others the same grace that He has shown to us and not look down on others as if we are better. Though, we are no longer seen as God as sinners, we still sin. We have to repent (turn away from that sin) and seek the Holy Spirit so that we may be continue God's sanctification process. We are being daily renewed back into His image as long as we daily seek His help. No one can ever boast in the presence of God. Because if Jesus had not died for our sins, we would all be in hell for the wages of our sins (even the ones we consider smaller than others!) Jesus had made us justified. We are only pure because of His shed blood. If we are to boast, we must only boast about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

AMEN! God bless you. Jesus loves YOU! There's no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus Christ! Don't fear God's judgment. All is well with your soul. Repent and be daily transformed. Yes, we sin, but God looks at Jesus and sees ALL of His Children as #FLAWLESS & PURE! We're being sanctified until the return of our Lord and personal Savior Jesus Christ!

The Fivefold Ministry Gifts

Hello there!

I'm so glad that you have taken your precious time to visit my blog page. Welcome!

I have been reading this a book on/off. I am almost finished and I'm excited to share with you some of the things that I've learned.

Book: "The Gifts and Ministries of the Holy Spirit" by Lester Sumrall

I will be doing a brief summary of Chapter 16: The Fivefold Ministry Gifts

Order your copy NOW wherever books are sold! It's a great study tool for every believer. When we're born again we become filled with God's Holy Spirit. It's vital that we figure out the power that lives within us because it's the same power that Jesus functioned in. It 's the same power that raised Him from the dead! It's living in YOU (born-again believers)

I began this book back in March when I received it as free gift in the mail. Here's the link to my first blog post: http://jenniferquetant.blogspot.com/2016/03/the-gifts-and-ministries-of-holy-spirit.html

THE FIVEFOLD MINISTRY GIFTS

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11

The Office of Apostle
Apostleship was not confined to the original 12 disciples. There are apostles in the church today. As long ad their is a church, there will be apostles.

The office of apostle is the foremost ministry in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. An apostle is not appointed by men. The Bible says the Holy Spirit is the One who establishes these ministries in the church.

There are several translations in the NT of the Greek word referring to the apostles. One of these translations is apostolos, meaning "a delegate; one sent with full power of attorney to act for another." An apostle is a divine delegateone who has come to the people of the world, representing the Trinity in heaven. The apostle does not act on his own behalf; he is anointed by the Holy Spirit to act on behalf of the body of Christ, the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The position of apostle, as the very word implies, means a person who is sent forth to do a work for God. Such a person is not greater than the One who sent him. The Lord Jesus Christ is always the Great One.

The Office of Prophet
The office of prophet cannot be filled through a democratic election. A prophet is called of God and set apart by God. The person God picks to fill this office is not phones on the basis of personality, education, or public standing. When God appoints a prophet in the land, the people there have nothing to do with it.

OT prophets mentioned: Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, David, Jeremiah.
Prophetesses: Miriam, Deborah, Huldah & Anna

NT: The Seventy, Peter, Paul, James & John

The Office of Evangelist
The evangelist is a proclaimer of the Gospel who simply preaches the love and forgiveness of God and the salvation that is available to all through His Son Jesus Christ.

When a evangelist preaches the simple Gospel message, people receive salvation.

The Office of Pastor
A pastor is a shepherd. The Greek word poimen occurs 17 times in the NT. Only 1 time is it translated "pastor."
'The pastor is to be the shepherd of his flock, his church.

Jesus is the chief shepherd, the chief pastor.

The ministry of a pastor is to feed the flock with knowledge and understanding, to feed the souls of all who come by the Spirit of God.

A real pastor is commissioned by God to do his job, and he will pastor even he doesn't get paid because God told him to do so.

The Office of Teacher
A teacher of the Word can be located in one place, or can travel. The office of teacher carries a very special anointing for opening people's understanding of God's Word.

All the education in the world will not make a teacher of God's Word. A teacher is a person who has been set in the body of Christ by God for one specific purpose: to teach the Word.

Which do you posses? I personally believe that we can posses all of them. I'm reminded of Acts 2. Since Jesus ascended, He's been pouring out His Holy Spirit on ALL believers! It's doesn't matter about your social standing, gender, education or age. If you have believe you can receive all of the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit.

You will receive power when the Holy spirit comes on you.
Acts 1:8

TRUST THE PROCESS/TRUST THE LORD

It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in people. Psalm 118:8 (NLT)

God's children have ABSOLUTELY no reason to fear! All that we need is faith. It doesn't matter about what man thinks. God is for us so who can stand against us? We are covered in the blood of Jesus. God is within us therefore He is always with us no matter where we go. He loves us so He cares for us. My hope, trust and confidence is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He protects me. He knows whats BEST for me. I have no reason to fear anything in this world. Fear God with awe and reverence.

During this hurricane season in Orlando, FL I know that my God will continually Protect, Provide and Prosper me in the midst of this chaos. Everyone is in a state of panic and emergency. The News is installing fear in those of little faith. People are going bonkers stocking up on water, gas, food, batteries, candles and storm needs. But, God's Word says about 365 (enough for each day of the year) DO NOT FEAR!

We can rest assure that God loves us will NEVER EVER harm us. It's against His Word to do so. it doesn't matter what the people of the world say. God's children are to be set apart. We're citizens of His Kingdom. His hedge of protection covers us. Thanks to the shed blood of Jesus! To worry is to not have faith. To be in fear is to not be in faith. The just shall LIVE BY FAITH! Don't worry, speak God's Word over your life.

We're not apart of this hurricane season. God will make sure are taken good care of. But you must BELIEVE!

I believe that my family will not be harmed. Our power will not go out. We will have food, water and shelter. Even if the worse case scenario, God will command the ravens to bring us food just as He did for Elijah (1 Kings 17:6). We serve the same God right? (=

And if the hurricane came and wiped us out, to die in Christ is GAIN. I'm going to love God to the end. (Though that won't happen) Let's be reminded that God placed His rainbow in the sky as a covenant to not destroy the earth by flood. We have no reason to worry. However, we do have 10,000+ reason to bless the Lord!

Prayer: God knows the plans for our lives. It doesn't matter what it may look like. I will trust this process! Amen

For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Rain's Coming!!! (Sermon Notes)

I listened to a quick sermon before bed last night and decided to share my notes with you! Man, was this message for ME! Everyone has a season that appears to be dry. Because we don't see instant results or manifestation in our timing, we sometimes question if God really gave us a "Word." We must remind ourselves that every word of God is true. If He said it then, He means it. It will come to pass! Be patient and trust HIS timing not yours.

I was searching for a sermon to really speak to my current season. I've been meditating not these two Scriptures in Genesis:

Leave and Cleave "At last!" the man exclaimed. "This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called 'woman,' because she was taken from 'man.' This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one."

Promised Land "AND The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father's family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you."

God has been speaking to me through His Word (that's how He speaks to us in general.) Because I keep hearing these verses I know that God is sending my husband and our little family to another state to live. It is in His plan that He blesses us all the more. But, it's required of us to obey by following Jesus. We must get out of our comfort zone and partake on this new opportunity so that people can be blessed through our obedience. Long story short: We were buying a house here in Orlando, FL. The house ended up being a hot mess. We lost money. Our friend ended up dying and being buried in a cemetery walking distance of this weird house. My husband was offered a job in Atlanta, GA but didn't take it. I was a little down about not getting to move to GA quickly. But, I know that we came too far too give up now! We lost money from investing some time in the house but God will give us back more. We would've been stuck in that house and grieving harder and longer from the lost of our friend. Once I stopped being carnal, I put on my spiritual eyes and became aware that God showed us a new state for a reason. He's preparing us for a BIG move. I can't rush this process. It's our life that's changing here… a house.. new job, etc. I must be patient and know that God is preparing people for our benefit. It's His best that He prospers us and we live more financially stable.

I found so much comfort in this sermon. No more being impatient, worrying and unbelieving. if God said HE will do it. God told Noah to build an ark, The flood didn't come to 100 years or more! Noah like anyone else, probably felt worrisome. But He kept working while He waited on God. That's true faith. I know that our breakthrough is near because God said it! I'm a bible believing born again Christian. Therefore, I must have faith in His Word - His Promises. Amen

Now without further ado, here's the sermon notes!

God's perfect plan always happens in imperfect situations in imperfect people.

We have to renew our minds to His Word so that we can think How HE thinks!

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9

"Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops." James 5:17-18 (1 Kings 17:1-7/ 1 Kings 18:42-45)

What God started, He will finish. His plans will come to pass. He will do what He said.

Do what God told you to do despite what others think. We are to worship Him alone!

"Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant." Galatians 1:10

Speak words of faith. Think words of faith. Don't speak on things in the natural. Speak and believe what God says! What we say matters. Fill your words with faith. Don't describe what you see in the natural. The just shall live by faith!

Isn't this great information!? Jesus didn't speak anything He didn't hear His Father say. Though, in the flesh and suffering persecution, He responded in faith. He spoke faith filled words. He was focused on His divine purpose not on temporary things that were going to change.

***********************************************************************************************************************

"For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love." Galatians 5:6

The ONLY thing that matters is FAITH being expressed through LOVE! Genuine faith looks like LOVE.

The Kingdom of God is about righteousness//having a relationship with God.

We feel offended when we take our focus off of God.'

"'For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do." Hebrews 6:10

God is not unjust. He will not forget our work. We must work for Him and not for people. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (following His plan and not our own).

This is WORD from the Lord because I've been constantly hearing this verse. #CONFIRMATION
Nothing that we do for the Lord goes in vain. He sees everything. He knows our hearts. And if we know Him then, He knows us too! Sometimes, I do feel the spirit of "giving up." I wrote a book, this blog, make Jesus bracelets and share my faith on social media with very few support, likes or followers. I must be humble and remind myself that I work for the Lord and not for likes. If no one read this blog, I know that God sees it. That's all that matters. Nothing slips pass Him. He is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. He holds the whole world in His hands. Certainly, He pays attention to those who love Him.

"And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him." Hebrews 11:6

We must be content! Have faith and patience. Expectation and contentedness. Work while you wait. Work for the Lord and for men. God sees you. Respond to Him in faith by standing on His promises, trusting in His WORD alone!!

"So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." Galatians 6:9

Desire A Relationship With God

What bothers me the most is these social media "relationship pastors." These guys and gals are our modern day love doctors. All they preach about is finding your mate. && It really erks my nerves!

Yes,  I am happily married, equally yoked, deep in love and all of that good stuff. But, nothing compares to my relationship with God. My husband loves me like Christ loves His church but still, no one loves me like Jesus. I know that I am an awesome wife but I don't love him more than Jesus loves him. God is first and both of our lives. We love God more than our own lives. There's no compromise. We put Jesus first. When either one of us are caught praying we make sure to be polite and to not disrupt each other. First thing in the morning, he goes downstairs and reads his Bible while I stay upstairs and read mine, pray or whatever. We desire God more than each other. Don't get me wrong, we are very intimate. We just make sure that we worship God through Jesus and not other gods.

I believe that social media is pressuring single folks. I don't even like to post pictures because I don't want people coveting what the LORD blessed me with… It really sucks… Everyone wants a mate but what about Jesus? If you got married would you forget about Jesus? After all, He gave up His life for us. It is not good for man to be alone. Correct! But, no one is to have all of your mind, soul, heart and strength but GOD! I only have eyes for my husband and I he's my favorite person (after Jesus). But God has my heart altogether. I'm a woman after His heart. And my hubby is a man after God's heart as well.

I refuse to preach about finding husbands. The Bible says that a man finds his good thing not vice versa. So, women stop praying for husbands and wanting to be modern day Ruth. She didn't pray for a man. She dedicated her life to God, He blessed her THEN her husband found HER. Don't miss this! She used to worship false gods in a pagan nation. She decided to stay with her first husbands mother and worship her God (ALMIGHTY!) She converted and became a Christian. She knew that her MIL'S God was the One True God. So she too became a woman after God's heart and an ascendant of Jesus. Boaz came later. Her story is a beautiful testimony about her faith not her desire for a man.

Matthew 6:33 (my favorite) says to seek 1st the kingdom of God and all those things will be added onto you as a plus! [emphasis added]

...Just weeks before I met my husband I decided to take my relationship with God to another level. I fell back in love with Him. I was isolated, serious and ready to start all over. Most of all, I was content in my singleness. I told myself that my next relationship would be my last. And even if I never got married, I was good with Jesus. At that moment I began to talk to God about the qualities that I selfishly wanted in a man. We can talk to God about anything. But, I was being selfish because I listed most things that had no significance. He had to be a man after God's heart so that we may be equally yoked, athletic, purpose driven, in college and all of the things that I was doing at that time.
Guess what? About 3 weeks later, I turned around and there he was sitting behind me in class!! Almost daily I reflect on that… I had to mention this stuff in my wedding vows so that people could hear what God did for me when I surrendered my life to Him.

God's Word is infallible. Every Word of God is TRUE! Just seek Him and He'll feel so honored to be loved by you that He'll give you the desires of your heart.

Don't seek God for the benefits. Seek Him just for who HE IS! He IS AWESOME! I was content and totally in love with Jesus. I was sure that this time I wasn't going to let a man get in the way of my relationship with God. To my benefit God gave me a man OF God to help me build up my faith as I do the same for him. Marriage is ministry.  It's totally about growing together in Christ (iron sharpening iron). NOTHING in marriage is built on self. It is designed by God and He must be the head, the core and the foundation.

So stop praying for a mate. Pray to God in thanksgiving just for who He is. He gave us Jesus and that's ALL the love that you will EVER Need! Love is Jesus offering His body to be beaten and hanging on the cross dying for us. No man or woman can EVER love you like Jesus!!

But when marriage comes, make sure your marriage represents God's definition of Love. He wants you to desire a relationship with Him more than being with a human. Let Jesus be all the MAN that you need first. That's what I did. And it worked out fine for me. I lack no good thing. God supplies everything that I want and need because I desire Him more than anything. This is what God wants from all that say they "know" Him.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY HUBBY! And He loves me! But we wouldn't even know what love looked like without looking to Jesus and accepting His LOVE! I desire for you to strengthen your faith and relationship with God through reading His Word and obeying His Will. He loves you sooooo much and wants you to love Him more than your own life and selfish desires. He will come in and rock your world boo! But, you must surrender your plans to His. He loves you more than anyone. He died for YOU!

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16

Book Review: A Better WAY to Pray By Andrew Wommack

I am honored to participate in this blogging opportunity as a book reviewer for Andrew Womack's "A Better Way to Pray!"

I entered a book giveaway contest and was chose to review this book before the contest even ended. Can we say, "FAVOR!!!" Honestly, I prayed that I would win. =) I was confident of winning because I desperately needed more understanding in my current season.
God knew what I needed and He supernaturally provided a way for me to read this book in just the right time!!

Purchase your copy here! https://store.awmi.net/p-170-better-way-to-pray.aspx

I've been following Andrew Wommack's ministry for a little while now thanks to my awesome Mother-in-Law for introducing me to his teachings. She's a recent graduate from Charis Bible College, an extension of Andrew Womack's ministry

Over the past couple of years she's provided me with CDS, DVD's, articles, sermons, e-mails, newsletters, audio sermons, and even gave me her password to view his bible commentary! I later downloaded it to BOTH of my laptops. I printed out nearly all of the teaching articles and shared them with my friends and on social media.

So far I've read 2 of his books and shared everything that I learned with my husband. I learned more in two of his books than all of the false religious teachings that I heard in church all of my life. Minister Wommack has sound teaching that goes hand in hand with the Bible without sugarcoat.

Womack is a minister/teacher of Grace. I never new a thing about this NEW COVENANT of Grace. I grew up as a religious Christian. I didn't know much about the Bible or what Grace even meant… As for prayer, I thought it was only to confess our sins not to connect with God on a personal level. Since, surrendering my life to God and getting to know Him through His Word, I've seen a big difference in my prayer life. I found that the best way to pray is to confess and meditate on bible verses throughout my day. My prayer life has been very good. But now that I've read this book I've gained a lot more understanding. I feel as though God is pleased with my willingness to seek more wisdom and understanding by praying to Him to use Andrew Wommack to minister to me! I am so glad that he chose to obey God's calling on his life. He has helped me in ways that he will never know. Thank you!

Here's a list of some of the great things that I've learned in "A Better Way to Pray:"

  • As soon as we pray (according to His Will) God hears and answers our prayers instantly! Though, it may take sometime to see physical manifestation, spiritual manifestation has already taken place. We may pray for faster manifestation. Healing should be instant.
  • God's answered prayers aren't based on our physical senses. As soon as we pray in faith, we must receive it by faith that's it's done. God is preparing the way in the supernatural realm. It may take a while to reach our physical world.
  • Jesus taught to heal the sick not to pray for them. My husband lost his best friend 9.4.16 to colon cancer. He was only 26 years old. I read in my Bible that Jesus said to lay hands on the sick and even raise the dead. Before his friend was diagnosed with cancer 12/2015 I had just finished reading Andrew's "Believer's Authority." We aren't suppose to beg God to heal someone. He told us to do it because we have His Holy Spirit within us. I don't know what our friend was surrounded with but I know that I confessed "You are healed in Jesus Name… Cancer be removed from his body in Jesus Name." (and things of the like…) When my husband called me with the heartbreaking news, I prayed to have him raised from the dead. Still, he stayed dead. My faith was tested greatly. But I don't doubt God's Word! I believe that our friend had accepted the news that his doctor told him and was ready to be with the Lord. And he still won. I don't believe it was God will for him to die early. I don't believe that God gave him sickness because God is good. I believe he was under a demonic attack and he chose to go home. To live in Christ is to win and to die in Christ is gain. So either way, he won that fight and Jesus loves him the same.
  • Prayer is talking with God. It's unnecessary to pray at a set time daily or to pray for hours or for long periods of time. God just wants us to communicate with Him.
  • We don't have to beg and plead with God. If it's in His Word, it is ours. We can come boldly into His presence. He knows what we need before we ask.
  • We should enter into His Gates with thanksgiving. Thank God for His greatness. When we seek first the Kingdom of God, things are added onto us as a PLUS.
  • God uses people to reach us. No need to pray for money because God doesn't have money, He has people. He supernaturally provides through people. He supplies all of our need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus!
  • Praying in tongues produces supernatural results.
  • When we pray we must believe and not doubt. Doubting is unbelief and hinders our prayers from getting answered.
  • Don't give up when we don't see our prayers answered in our timing. We can be sure that our prayers are answered and are on the way.
  • God doesn't say "no." A delay is not a denial. All God's answers are "yes" and "amen."
  • We aren't to pray as believers of the Old Testament. They we're under a different covenant because Jesus Christ had not yet gone to the cross. The Lord's Prayer is an old covenant prayer and only an example of how to pray. It's not a New Covenant prayer. Jesus was only showing us how to pray: Thanksgiving, confidence, trust and total faith. Born-again believers must pray in the Name of Jesus.
I really enjoyed this read. Next to my Bible, this is by far the BEST book that I've ever read!! It is very important that we Christians, pray according to God's Word. There are incorrect prayers. We may enter into His presence boldly but we must be careful of our heart attitudes and our words. The Bible says that we can have what we say. There is life and death in the power of the tongue. Therefore, we must speak life when we speak to God.

Prayer is our most powerful weapon. The prayers of a righteous person availeth much. We ought to take our prayer life more seriously. We must pray without ceasing by talking to Him throughout our day. He is always talking to us so we must respond and listen. Prayer is a dialogue not a monologue.

We must pray correctly. God wants us to bless Him with our thanksgiving. God is blessed when we thank Him and praise Him!! No need to be loud, sorrowful all of the time, begging or pleading. Like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, He wants us to meet with Him daily for praise and worship not begging for what's already been supplied to us.

We don't have to confess our sins every single day. Rather, we should thank Jesus for forgiving us our sins. Repentance is to change direction not keep reminding God of your sins. Believe that Jesus died for past, present and future sins once and for all. His blood has washed you clean for forever.

I highly recommend that YOU read this amazing book! Every Christian needs the Word of God in their life and to be actively praying to our Heavenly Father according to His Word.
In just a few days, I've gained so much understanding of the reason for prayer. Prayer is not all about repentance. It's about communicating with our Father and loving on Him as He loves on us.

My life has been greatly impacted. I will be careful of what I say in prayer and to remember to always thank God for everything. It's a privilege to be able to talk to God. It's an honor to have the POWER OF PRAYER! Andrew's perspective of prayer has absolutely benefited my prayer life. I hope that it'll do the same for you.
