True Worship—Bible Study of 2 Kings

God is doing a NEW thing! He’s outpouring His Spirit onto all peoples of the earth who receive Him with a sincere heart. What an incredible time it is to be living for the one and true God. Yes, the world is dark. But the Church is glorious!

I believe that we’re in the Last Days. We’ve recently celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on this past Christmas. God has greatly provided for my family this holiday. He answered every one of my prayers! I’m so blessed by Him. But something dawned on me this season… Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah that was spoken into existence by the prophets in Ancient times. Thousands of years later, Jesus Christ was born into the world and then He died and rose again. Today, we read about this great history in our Bibles. Friends, this has already been fulfilled thousands of years ago! So this means we’re closer today than ever before to the return of our Savior!

The Bible is an incredible book! As I read through 2 Kings, I began to see how God chose Israel and set His people apart so that the world could come to know Him through them. Meaning, these people were to be a holy people who didn’t live like anyone else in the world. They were to be blessed, divinely protected and provided for. They were also designed to be victorious and successful in all of their endeavors. Why? Because these people were a reflection of the Lord. Their lives had to be like God’s. They were to be the light in the world so that other people would want to be like them too!

I believe that we serve the same God as them and have the same high calling on our lives. We serve the same God and He’s the same today as He was back then. He doesn’t change. Sure, we may be living under a new covenant (grace and not the Law) but God is still God. He deserves honor, our praise, our love and our faithfulness.

So I view the Bible as a book for believers. God is speaking to HIS people. We can’t even understand it or make use of it if we’re not saved. So therefore, the Bible becomes a tool for those that believe.

My husband says that discipline is a form of love. God loves us so He disciplines us because we’re His children. We get out of line at times, so our Father corrects us so that we may avoid suffering and evil. God doesn’t tolerate evil because He is holy. Therefore, He requires holiness from His people. Christ in us makes us holy. We cannot be holy apart from Him. We must yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit so that we can walk according to God’s Way. We must also renew our minds to the Word so that we can transform our lives and resemble Jesus’.

In 2 Kings, I sadly read that very few kings served the Lord faithfully. A bunch of them did evil in the sight of God, therefore, leading others astray and causing judgment to fall onto them. (The gospel says that it’s a horrible thing to cause others to stumble and forsake God).

I had sparkles in my eyes as I flipped through each chapter. I thought, “God, you saved the best for last!” We were chosen to live on this earth at this glorious time under grace. But grace isn’t a license to sin but rather an empowerment to do right. God has mercy on us. So why trample over the blood of Jesus as if He died in vain? We should be totally convicted (not condemned) to live a life pleasing to God because of His grace and mercy that He lavishes so dearly on us.

So let’s consider it a far worse thing to rebel against God in these times because we’re reaching the end and Christ has come to redeem us from the curse of the Law.

Lessons:

“He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.” 2 Kings 22:2 NIV

God honors our faithfulness. It obviously pleases Him to walk in obedience. So let’s do what the Bible tells us and pay NO attention to those influenced by Satan who encourages us to forsake holiness because they think it’s not possible or necessary.

“The king of Assyria deported Israel to Assyria and settled them in Halah, in Gozan on the Harbor River and in towns of the Medes. This happened because they had not obeyed the Lord their God, but had violated His covenant—all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded. They neither listened to the commands no carried them out.” 2 Kings 18:11-12 NIV

There are consequences for our disobedience. Unfortunately for the Israelites, they were punished. Gracefully, today we aren’t punished. However, we do forfeit our blessings. It doesn’t bring any glory to God when we live outside His Will. Our light becomes dimmed and our Christian walk becomes less effective by the people of the world.

However, obedience results in favor from God. So we can conclude that God does honor our efforts, willingness and faithfulness.

“He held fast to the Lord and did not stop following him; he kept the commands the Lord had given Moses. And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.” 2 Kings 18:6-7 NIV

Obey the law but not when it comes against the Word. Christians honor the laws of the land so that we can glorify God by being respectful and loving to others.

Altogether, obeying God’s Word will make you successful in all of your ways and bless God! Obey God no matter what.

“They worshipped the Lord, but they also served their own gods in accordance with the customs of the nations from which they had been brought.” 2 Kings 17:33 NIV

Don’t worship God the way you see fit or what others say! Do as God says. No one can satisfy the needs of someone without doing the exact things that they want. As for God, He is perfectly holy. We can’t go into His presence any kind of way nor can we bring Him anything less than acceptable in His sight. He says to worship Him in spirit and in truth!

Don’t do what people of the world are doing. Don’t even do what other Christians are doing! Do what Jesus did. Listen to the Holy Spirit and walk in His direction. Act on the Word and seek God daily for everything! This is true worship. At the end of this life as we know it, we want to hear Him say, “Well done, My good and faithful servant.” We don’t want to give the Lord excuses because He won’t tolerate them. We want to have made our lives counted. We will want to have lived in such a way that glorified God.

Choose God’s Way according to HIS Word! Worship Him truthfully. Worship the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, and mind.

Vision: Trust in God Alone

In my dream (12.8.17), I was in Walmart standing at a checkout line. I was with a younger girl who worked at the store. I offered to give her a ride home. So I was waiting for her as she put her items onto the scrolling checkout register table.

Some guy that she worked with came and tossed all of these rollback clearance items onto the table. They were really nice household items that I really wanted and kinda needed. Each item was really cheap- about $0.35 average. I wanted to buy those items but I couldn’t afford any of them because I only had $0.45 and no extra money for tax. I thought maybe the girl would give them to me as a generous gift for giving her a ride home. Plus, she looked way too young to be even interested in those items.

Anywho, it was really late and I drove this girl home to a nearby neighborhood. It would’ve been a 15min walk for her but I didn’t want her carrying all of those grocery bags by herself that late at night.

By the time we reached her apartment, I asked about the items and she didn’t say anything. I asked who she lived with and she didn’t say anything. So I helped her carry her bags then I let her go on her way.

But somehow my car turned into a bicycle and I was lost. The neighborhood was rough and I didn’t know what to do. So I tried to remember to follow the signs that I used before. I was stopped by the police and told them that I was lost. An officer lit up when he seen me and he was very nice. He managed to help me get back home.

Interpretation:

We must give to men without expecting to receive from men. Be encouraged that what you sow you will surely reap in time. We will receive from God. He will return to us back in His own way.

We must trust God with all of our needs and wants.
-God can’t be mocked. (Gal 6:7)
-The Lord is our Shepherd, we shall not want. (Ps 23:1)
-Those who take delight in the Lord, will receive the desires of their heart. (Ps 37:4)
-Those who put God first, will be blessed with every good thing. (Matt 6:33)
-Our Father supplies all of our need according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:19)

Don’t look to man for your wants and needs. Look to God who will surely do as His Word promises!

Don’t make people your source. Make Jesus your source of everything.

-We’ve been blessed with every spiritual blessing. (Eph 1:3)
-We lack no good thing. (Ps 34:10)

So even if you don’t yet see the manifestation of what’s promised to you, keep believing. God will answer all of your prayers. Everything
according to His Will, is “yes” and “amen (2 Cor 1:20)!”

I’ve seen Him do it countless times in my life. Honestly, I’m living off my Father’s provision daily. Like the ‘Lord’s Prayer’, I expect my daily needs met (Matt 6:11).

I survive off the Word of God. He is all that I have. He is my life. He is my everything. I’m learning to put my complete and total trust in Him. I’m no longer worried about anything. What can worry do anyway? I rather save myself from the stress and just let God do what He does.

I can’t do anything apart from Him. I’m a branch and He's the Vine. I'm the child and He’s the Father. So, I keep my faith childlike... trusting, and believing every Word that He says because He’s never let me down in the past.

The Lord has given me this vision to encourage me to keep believing Him for provision, increase and overflow. I don’t have to look to anyone for anything. Yes, it’s okay to ask for help from others...

But sometimes God wants to put you through the fire to stretch your faith to see if you’ll stand (James 1:3).
Will your trust waver?
Will you look to man or your own efforts?
Or will you keep standing on the Word?

God wants to be your primary resource. He wants you to seek Him in His Word and prayer first. When you do so, you’ll become totally dependent on Him, be blessed and bring glory to His Name. Hallelujah!

Thankful IN Everything But Not FOR Everything

Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful time of the year when we're to reflect on the Lord's goodness. We're to be thankful for all of the good things that God has done for us. Notice that I said "good things…"

I believe that God is good and that He has no plans to harm us because He loves us. I believe that God isn't able to inflict any suffering upon us because God is love and His nature is to bless us with good. It bothers me when I hear Christians confess and credit things to God that aren't Biblical. If a Christian lacks knowledge of God's Word, he/she will fall victim to the enemy's lies.

Understand that worldly wisdom may sound noble but anything that contradicts God's Word is a lie from the pits of Hell.

I burn with passion when I hear my brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ confess and believe things that simply aren't true. I get fired up about the Bible. I desperately want to see people set free by the truth in it. It's awful to see people comforted by the lies of the world. True and lasting comfort comes from Jesus Christ, the living Word.

The Bible requires faith, study and guidance from the Holy Spirit. Worldly wisdom and noble thoughts don't require any real thought, action or responsibility so people become easily deceived and drawn to those sugar-coated lies.

Here's some examples of unbiblical quotes that I've heard and even believed myself in my past:
- Thank God for the good and bad or thank God for "everything."
- Thank God for sickness.
- Thank God for lack.
- Thank God for closed doors.
- Thank God for tribulations.
- Thank God for punishment.
- Thank God for giving and taking away.

God is GOOD ALL THE TIME and ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!

Why would a Christian thank God for bad things when God's nature is good?

It's a result of the enemy blinding people. He can only blind those that don't know the truth (don't read and "hear" the Bible). He convinces people that God is in control of everything and that He's some evil schizophrenic tyrant that gives both good and bad.

The crazy thing is, people will believe anything if someone adds God's name to it if they don't know what the Bible actually says. People will also believe what they're taught by false teachers or dead teachers because in this situation, the blind leads the blind. People will also believe what anyone says about a particular Bible verse simply because it's a Bible verse (taken out of its context).

Two of the most twisted scriptures come from Job 1:21 "God gives and God takes away," and Job 13:15 "though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him." Christians use this verse when they find themselves in trouble. They throw the blame on God instead of taking responsibility for their own actions. Anyone who quotes this verse is deceived because they clearly didn't read the whole book of Job. That's why we must read everything! In the first chapter, it was Satan who clearly inflicted Job with many curses. Job said foolish things because he was in anguish and ignorant of the enemy's schemes. Thank God that today, we born-again believers have been given back our authority over the enemy because of Jesus' finished work on the cross. GLORY TO GOD!

Now the reason that these foolish beliefs are detrimental is because they don't bring ANY glory to God. How can God get the glory by harming people? This is why so many people are confused about the Bible. They think that it contradicts itself because of the Law of Moses and the doctrines of men. This is why I wrote "Bible Journey!" We must read the Bible for ourselves, line upon line and within its context - rightly dividing the truth.

We can't be confident Christians if we're scared, confused and ignorant of the Bible. Our trust and comfort in God comes when we spend time in His Word getting to know Him better by growing in His grace and knowledge.

How could we truly be thankful and bless the Lord with all our soul if we bring foolishness to God? How could we possibly give praise to God by thanking Him for things that He's never done? In other words, how dare we tell the Lord, "thank you" for all of the evil things that we've allowed Satan to give us?

This isn't thanksgiving. Its insulting and highly offensive to our Father. How do I know? God's Word says, "Jesus came to give us life more abundantly and the devil came to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10)." That's scripture! That's the truth! Every good and perfect gift comes from God in Heaven. Every evil comes from Satan. Don't ever confuse the two! Pray for spiritual discernment and be set free!

All in all, we're called to be thankful IN everything not thankful FOR everything. God is in control but He isn't the force behind evil. It's Satan whose running lose deceiving the whole world… even Christians (who aren't rooted in God's Word).

I want to encourage you to spend time seeking the truth by reading the Bible's entirety. Find out the truth and choose to believe it so that you may be full of the peace and joy that comes from truly knowing God. You'll grow confidence in the Lord Jesus and your praise will be full of pure thanksgiving!

My Book Review for Steve and Jackie Green's 'This Dangerous Book'

In exchange of my gift of Steve and Jackie’s upcoming book, ‘This Dangerous Book,’ I will be sharing my personal book review in this blog with high aspirations of encouraging others to read this incredible book!

The duo-authors are a Christian couple with an undeniable and unashamed love for God’s Word. They each have a passion for collecting Biblical artifacts that is so vast that they decided to share their findings with the world in their new establishment called the ‘Museum of the Bible!’ This museum will be opening up in November of 2017 in Washington, D.C. The Greens have hopes of bringing people together to showcase the Bible’s extensive and collective history. Notably, they aren’t pushing their faith on anyone. Instead, they’re simply showcasing Biblical facts so that people may gain more knowledge and insight on what the Bible is, where it came from and it’s impact on the entire world.

The Bible is near and dear to their family. The Greens stand on God’s Word in every area of their lives. It’s credited to be the foundation of all their great success. Steve Green is president of Hobby Lobby and his wife Jackie, is a full-time homemaker and mother to six children. Their influential lives are living testimonies that the Bible’s principles are fundamental, remarkable and valuable today.

‘This Dangerous Book’ will take you into the depths of the values of Biblical artifacts. It will inform you about the process of obtaining such valuable items and what many suffered just to make a way for all of the future generations to obtain them.

The substantial information written in this book has compelled me to become far more appreciative of my Bible collection. Today, it’s easy to purchase a copy of a Bible or download one for free. However, there were times when the Bible was not accessible to the general public nor was it available in most languages. Sadly, many countries today have banned the Bible due to their religious beliefs. Millions have even been severely persecuted for its sake!

I’m incredibly thankful to be a United States citizen that has access to my Bible at any given time. I learned in this book how our nation was (for the most part) founded on Biblical principles. It’s no coincidence that there’s no other nation in the world today as successful as the United States of America.

I believe it’s a part of God’s beautiful plan that the Greens founded the Museum of the Bible. Now all those with open-hearts and curious minds have an awesome opportunity to see the Bible come alive for themselves!

Biblical Life Application

God is a gentlemen. He doesn’t force His love on anyone. He created us with free-will. He’s given us authority. When He sees His people struggling, He can’t step in and do anything unless we allow Him to. We can’t say that God is in control over everything. We have to remember that His Word says, we’re created in His image, we are to reign in life and the enemy has been stripped. We’re to blame and the enemy (when we give him authority) when things are going terribly wrong. We can’t blame God for evil. If He was in control of good and evil, then life wouldn’t make any sense. Jesus came to give us LIFE more abundantly. It’s Satan who came to STEAL, KILL & DESTROY! (John 10:10) Whatever you choose to believe is what you will receive.
God says, my people suffer from lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)
The Church as a whole doesn’t take His Word as a sword. Instead, some of us are letting the enemy and circumstances beat us up. It’s important that we open up our Bibles and actually read and apply it to our lives daily. It’s not a suggestion. It’s life application. Our Christian lives daily depend on the Word of God. Make Him a priority!
Even when we’re walking in disobedience, I can sense the Lord's compassion. He still loves us and has great plans for our lives. He just desires for us to be doers of His Word and not just hearers. He can’t bless us if we are unwilling to receive. We’re unwilling when we don’t know what He’s able to give us according to HIS WORD. How can you ask or believe God for something if you don’t know what’s entitled to you? He can ONLY give us good. But some may think evil is good because they don’t know the truth of God’s Holy Word.
“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body.” Proverbs‬ ‭4:20-22‬
My heart’s desire is that people the world over will come to know the truth of God’s Word and get to know Jesus Christ personally. That way, lives will be transformed and we will see heaven on earth in our personal lives. I’m a living testimony of the transforming power of the Bible. No more blindness, struggle, lack, ignorance, worry or fear. I’m sustained, complete and satisfied. I’m daily walking with God enjoying life. I refuse to wait until I get to heaven to have everlasting life. That journey has already started the day I got born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Manifestation happened when I learned His Word and chose to do and believe what it said.

Halloween Evangelism Tool

As you all know, today is Halloween. I believe that many Christian families all over the United States are in bondage to this national holiday. The question to celebrate or not has most likely been running through their minds all month long. Now that the day has come, what is a concerned Christian to do!?

There are two answers in the Word of God that have helped me concerning my decision as homemaker.

Scripture says,

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. "You are the light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:13-16 NLT

God said that Christians are the salt and light of this world. We can’t hide our beliefs and good works and preserve them for the Church only. No, we’re called to the Great Commission. We have to seek to save those that are lost. No, not everyone who chooses to celebrate Halloween is lost. But, some are. I believe if we stand on the principles in the Bible, then those that are Christian may be influenced to celebrate this evil holiday in a way that will give glory to God.

Abstain from all appearance of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22 KJV

If it looks like evil, then stay away from it. Don’t copy the traditions of this evil world but be like Christ (Romans 12:2). Jesus didn’t exclude Himself from sinners. He came to save them. Therefore, He had to get around them. Yet, He became the higher influence. So He didn’t indulge in their sins.

So as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord Jesus Christ!

For the last couple of weeks, I’ve seen nothing good on television. While I’m cooking, cleaning, reading or blogging, I usually allow my children to watch PBS kids or Nick Jr. I only allow them to watch learning programs and a couple of nonviolent shows. But lately, all I’ve seen was the evils of Halloween being promoted. My heart grieved when my 3-year old son learned how to say ‘Halloween.’ It was his first big word! He’s also been saying things like ‘zombie’ and ‘witch.’ I’m proud of his comprehension skills but my goodness… why must they show this stuff on the educational shows?

I don’t like it. I have to guard my children’s hearts! It makes no sense for me to be listening to worship music or a sermon on YouTube while my kids are in the background yelling out demonic names every 5 seconds… It’s confusion and I’m not going to open a door for the enemy in my home.

In the past, I’ve let my son wear costumes and go out trick or treating. We did go to a Harvest Fest at church but I decided to go out trick or treating as well. This year I decided not to because last year didn’t feel right to me. I sensed darkness all around. Honestly, I was ashamed for exposing my child to that mess but I surely learned my lesson…

Our Harvest Fest was cancelled this year. I was a bit disappointed because I wanted my children to do something to get their minds off of the whole Halloween thing. So, this year I want to do something different. God put an evangelism project in my spirit.

It’s super last minute but I thought I might give it a shot instead of just doing nothing. Besides, what difference would I make in my children’s lives or others if I just sit back and do nothing? I don’t want to be religious. I want to be radical!

So, I took the last few packs of candy that I had in our food pantry and pasted salvation scriptures onto them as an evangelism tool.

Tonight, I’m leaving on my porch light so that people will know to come to our house. It’s only 8 pieces of candy. So it’ll be a first-come-first-serve basis. But, it’s just enough to create a big change!

My husband and I will pass out candy and bless everyone who comes to our front door in the matchless Name of Jesus! I’ll give my children candy too so that they won’t feel left out. As they grow older, I know the Lord will put something else on my heart. I believe He will honor my choices and show me how to get my children involved with Kingdom work and have fun doing it. (:

It’s all for God’s glory!

How to Find God's Will

Notes taken from a lesson by Pastor Bob Yandian

Link: https://youtu.be/sBX3DlIuGW4 (FFWD YouTube video to 11:00mins).

How to find God’s Will

Don’t pray and wait for God to show you His Will or run from meeting to meeting seeking His Will. Get to work for God.

He didn’t bring His Will to anyone when they were praying. They were all working.

Examples

OT: Moses was tending sheep, David was tending sheep, Gideon was on the threshing floor and Elisha was plowing.

NT: The 12 were ministering, fishing, collecting taxes and helping in the church. (Acts, Gospels)

When the Lord Jesus comes, will He find you serving the Kingdom?

“Blessed is that servant whose master returns and finds him doing his job.” Matthew 24:46

Ministry

1.     Get to work:
Working for God by helping people.
                 Serve in your local church.
Pastors need help in their churches.
                 God is looking for workers.

2.     Go to sleep (rest on God’s promises):
Work for the Lord as if it’s the best thing you’ll do for the rest of your life.
Jesus rested from His work and went to sleep because He trusted God.

3.     God will create a plan just for you:
You may have the same call as someone else but this one is tailor made just for you.
You’re unique!
God fashions His Will just for your life.
No need to imitate others because God broke the mold for you.
There’s no one like you.
Your gifts are unique and will minister to others differently.

4.    God won’t hide it from you:
He will bring it to you!
You don’t have to look for it.

These 4 points can also be used for finding a mate as well!

1st Adam got a job tending the fields.
2nd he went to sleep.
3rd God made a perfect wife for him.
4th when Adam got up, God had brought Eve to him.

Lesson: Stand still and watch the deliverance of the Lord. Standing means to act on God’s Word by believing and trusting that He will do what He said. It’s like working ‘while you wait’ so to speak (Galatians 6:9).

I can testify to these points about my own life… When I gave my life over to the Lord, I started a journey through the bible. In doing so, I found myself. I lived out Matthew 6:33- “seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” Meaning, I didn’t have to specifically pray for certain things to manifest in my life. Most of my blessings just came because I was saturated in my bible. I was applying it to my daily life. Sure, I’ve prayed for certain things. But a lot of what I have today are blessings form the Lord that I didn’t even know I needed.

My husband came into my life, when I wasn’t even concerned with another relationship. Children came, a brand new house came, finances, gifts, revelation and so on and so forth! So what I’m saying is, be obedient to God’s Word. Don’t just have head knowledge or opinions. Blessed are those that DO what the Lord says! We’ve all been called to ministry- serving the Lord by serving others. One thing for sure, your gift WILL make room for you! Wow, the Lord has placed this scripture on my heart recently:

“A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16

What God has for you, is for YOU! You don’t have to search for it or go out and seek answers from men. God created everyone with a gift. As long as you’re seeking HIM, you’ll end up walking in your purpose and becoming a faithful servant when the time is right.

Don’t give up. Don’t get discouraged. I’ve tasted and seen that the Lord is good. His Word doesn’t return to Him void. I believe and have received that my gift (writing) will do mighty things for God’s Kingdom. Our gifts will open up doors, help and influence others because we love the Lord and act on His Word. Simple!

Tell God What You WANT!

Scripture says,

"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall NOT WANT."
Psalms 23:1

"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall NOT WANT any good thing."
Psalms 34:10

"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
Matthew 6:31-33

"And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19

God says that He's already supplied ALL of our NEED! So it makes no sense to pray and ask Him for what we already have been supplied. All we must do is believe it by faith.
God desires for us to ask Him for the things that we WANT!

Scripture says,
"Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart."
Psalms 37:4

"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you."
Mark 11:24

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

"Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven."
Matthew 18:18

"Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
John 14:3

Who are you going to believe? The lies of the world or the truth of God's Holy Word?! God is not a man that can lie. His Word says it, so I believe it. It doesn't matter what the wicked or the religious world thinks. Choose to believe what God says or forfeit your blessings. God says, choose life! Be humble to His Word. Trust and rely on Him and not be a people pleaser. God created people so don't ever think too highly of them. Think on God and believe like God.
Jesus came to give us life MORE ABUNDANTLY! His body was not whipped and His blood was not shed for us to live a basic life. We're supernatural beings created in the image of God. We don't have to wait until we get to heaven to live like kings and queens. The Bible says, As Jesus is, so are we in THIS world! We're the righteousness of God in Christ. We're blessed with every spiritual blessing IN Christ.
God created us to reign and rule on this earth. Take the land! It's promised to the children of God not the people of this world. We've been given the keys of heaven. We're the head and NOT the tail. We're the lenders and NOT the borrowers.

Don't be deceived by the enemy anymore. Get to know the truth in God's Word and freely receive all that's been given to you by grace through your faith! It's okay to ask God for what you want. Rev. Jesse Duplantis says, "It's not greed. It's growth!"God wants us to have child-like faith. Parents will feel discouraged if their children always asked them for what they need…(what are you going to eat? wear? etc. It's an honor for our children to trust that we will also provide for their wants. It's okay to want! Everyone wants something, because God created us to stretch and enjoy life (John 10:10/1 Timothy 6:17). Besides, Jesus already died for it so ask for it and receive it!

Do You Know God's Plans for Your Life?

I wrote my first book Bible Journey to share with the world what the Lord has done for me through His Word. The Bible is truth and it can only change our lives if we believe it. I renewed my mind by gaining knowledge of the Bible by actually making an effort to read it. I started to believe it more and more by reading it more and more. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Hearing means to hear continually. I saturated myself in my Bible and soon began watching sermons that the Holy Spirit led me to hear. I called it a Bible Journey because I began this new path and it challenged everything that I had grown accustomed to. I believed what the Bible said because I had a personal revelation. I read this stuff for myself and it wasn't second-hand information. Everything was lining up. I received confirmation after confirmation. After a short while, I no longer cared about the opinions and beliefs of others because it didn't match with what God said. I place no man before God. I don't care how much wisdom they may think they have through life experiences, degrees, prestige and old age. I became solely convicted that God's Word was truth and pretty much everything else was a lie.

I published Bible Journey in hopes to encourage people to get to know the truth for themselves. Christianity is more than religion. It's a relationship with God The Father through Jesus Christ His Son. It's something personal. Personal knowledge of Jesus Christ will change your life! Yes, going to church will help. But taking God home will transform you! The scripture that resonated in my heart while writing my first book came from 2 Peter 3:18 NiRV: "Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Get to know Him better." How do you get to know God or anyone better? By spending alone time with them.

I have no greater desire than to see lives transformed through the Bible. I really want people to know who they really are. Our true identity is found in Jesus Christ. You were not created to live a mediocre life. You were not created to be average. God has created us in His image. You're fearfully and wonderfully made. You're the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, a lender and not a borrower. You're a seed of Abraham and a joint heir with Jesus Christ. You're royalty! You're in this world but not of this world. As Jesus is so are YOU in this world. Greater is He that in you than he that is in this world. You're a supernatural being with the blood of Jesus running through your veins. The same power that raised Him from the dead is living on the inside of YOU!

But how can one truly believe this? By reading and believing the Word. You have to first know and learn about the truth in the Bible. Then choose to believe it. If you want to know God's plans for your life, you're going to have to read about it in His Word and receive it by believing that those promises belong to you. You can't just be a hearer of the Word. You must also be a doer if you want to see God's promises come to pass in your life. Bible Journey is all about your willingness to apply what you learn from God personally through Bible study, prayer, visions, prophecies and so on. God is all powerful. Yet, He gave us power to be like Jesus Christ! He's done everything but forced Himself on us. He's given us choices in life. He's a gentlemen. He's waiting for us to act. He's already moved. Jesus' finished work on the cross is finished forever. He's at rest on His glorious throne in heaven.

God has revealed these truths to me. Like I said earlier, He confirms His Word repeatedly. Recently, I began rereading the gospels according to the direction of the Holy Spirit. I've been hearing sermon after sermon from different anointed pastors that all mention the same thing. Most importantly, I keep seeing the same scriptures in my Bible. That's no coincidence. That's God's power at work in my life!

Take a look at today's sermon from my Pastor, Dr. Creflo Dollar of WCCI. The sermon is titled, The Balance of Grace and Faith Pt6

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ," Ephesians 1:3 NASB

Daily, I confess that I'm blessed with every spiritual blessing and that I'm seated with Christ in heavenly places. Christ lives in me because I'm a born-again believer. Right now, I'm on earth and not yet in heaven. But I believe that I can have a slice of heaven on earth because the Word says that Jesus came to give me life more abundantly (John 10:10). I don't have to wait until I get to heaven to receive all of God's blessings. Jesus didn't just die for my salvation. His body was broken for my life to be made whole in every area while I dwell here on this earth. Jesus is in heaven now seated on His throne. However, He sent the Holy Spirit to come live in me. So as Jesus is, so am I in this world!

"And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ." Philemon 1:6 NLT

Key words: PUT INTO ACTION

God's promises don't just automatically come into our lives. Otherwise, we wouldn't need faith. But we have to receive them by faith because that's our duty as believers. That means that we don't doubt or just sit around and do nothing. Grace says, I believe what God has done and I take it even though I don't deserve it. We take it by believing that promise by knowing what that promise means and where it's located at in the Bible. We confess that scripture and stand on it. We don't just expect God to respond to us when we're not even obeying His Word. God is good and He performs miracles. But He Sent Jesus to give abundant life so that we don't have to ever lack any good thing. All in all, you have to understand what God has for you in order to believe it.

I've prayed and have written Bible Journey for you to truly know His purpose for your life. You're His child and He wants to take care of you. He created you for His pleasure. He wants to get to know you and for you be a child that's full of faith—that works. Adam walked with God and knew God. Yet, He had a part to play: dominate the earth and not eat from the forbidden tree. Today, we are to walk with God and freely take what He has given. Take His Word for what it is! Believe it. Don't expect for God to bless you in every way if you don't even know what blessings He has for you. Do you know that He loves you so very much?! He has NO plans to harm you. He can't ever tempt you because His nature is to love. Satan is the temper. God doesn't want you in lack, sick, sad or defeated. The Bible says, He wants you to prosper above all things (3 John 1:2). But you wouldn't know that and truly stand on it if you didn't hear it from God for yourself.

Are you aware of what God has made available?

"Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring--not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all." Romans 4:16 NIV

"that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)" Ephesians 2:5 NLT

"God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God." Ephesians 2:8 NLT

Grace (God's part) makes. Faith (our part) takes!

Whatever that God has made available (in His Word) is available to whatever Christian that believes. Everything that God has made, we must respond positively in faith. If you want to see the manifestation of God's promises you must respond in faith.

Your response is either making you or breaking you!

Examples

Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52 NLT)

46 Then they reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus (son of Timaeus) was sitting beside the road.
47 When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
48 “Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him.
But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
49 When Jesus heard him, he stopped and said, “Tell him to come here.”
So they called the blind man. “Cheer up,” they said. “Come on, he’s calling you!”
50 Bartimaeus threw aside his coat, jumped up, and came to Jesus.
51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked.
“My Rabbi,” the blind man said, “I want to see!”
52 And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
Because this man had faith for healing in Jesus Christ, he became healed. He responded with cheer and not fear and doubt.

Jesus Walks on Water (Mark 6:45-52 NLT)

45 Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and head across the lake to Bethsaida, while he sent the people home.
46 After telling everyone good-bye, he went up into the hills by himself to pray.
47 Late that night, the disciples were in their boat in the middle of the lake, and Jesus was alone on land.
48 He saw that they were in serious trouble, rowing hard and struggling against the wind and waves. About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. He intended to go past them,
49 but when they saw him walking on the water, they cried out in terror, thinking he was a ghost.
50 They were all terrified when they saw him.
But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage! I am here!”
51 Then he climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped. They were totally amazed,
52 for they still didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves. Their hearts were too hard to take it in.
Jesus told His disciples not to fear even in the midst of chaos. The disciples feared for their lives and didn't put their faith to action. They didn't realize that they were with the same Jesus who had recently fed the 5,000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish! Moral of the two examples, we have no reason to fear or doubt God's plans for our lives. We've seen God show up before so we can expect to see Him continually bless us by recalling what He's done for us in the past.
But we have to gain knowledge of the good things in His Word and continually hear them so that we can have faith to stand until we receive them.
Renew your mind. As a man thinks, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). Choose to think what God thinks about you! Then you'll receive everything that you believe Him for according to His Word. Praise Jesus!
